The 2015 Nissan Sentra is the Best Compact Car according to the 2015 Initial Quality Study (or IQS) by J.D. Power, the industry benchmark for new vehicle quality. The Sentra, which also received an IIHS “Top Safety Pick” award earlier this year, received the award yesterday at the Automotive Press Association (APA) luncheon in Detroit. Now in its 29th year, the Initial Quality Study is based on responses from more than 84,000 buyers and lessors of new 2015 model year vehicles in a survey conducted 90 days after the acquisition of the vehicle. Initial quality is determined by the number of problems per 100 vehicles (PP100), with a lower score indicating higher quality. The study was carried out between February and May 2015.

The Sentra's sleek, modern and refined exterior design gives it a “professional” look aimed at buyers who want to drive a more upscale vehicle than the models usually offered in this segment.
